Singapore’s borders have largely been closed for almost a year now, so Singapore Airlines has gotten creative to engage those who want to fly. We saw the airline open a restaurant on an A380 on the ground for a very limited time, and we even saw the airline sell home improvement and business class airplane meals.
KrisShop is the name of Singapore Airlines’ online shopping mall and has historically only sold a limited number of airline memorabilia, including model aircraft. Well, the selection of Singapore Airlines merchandise for sale at KrisShop has just expanded significantly, and wow, there are some cool things on sale!
There is bad news, however – KrisShop only ships to addresses in Singapore. Maybe that’s a blessing in disguise, otherwise some U-Haul stuff would show up at my house in a few days. Even if I just browse through it, for me it’s a paradise for Avgeek (a term I last used to describe American Airlines headquarters).
Essentially, KrisShop sells almost everything you could find on a Singapore Airlines aircraft, aside from the actual seats.
From a pocket comb from Singapore Airlines for 1 SGD (~ 0.76 USD) …
With a Singapore Airlines mini salad dressing bottle for SGD 2 (~ USD 1.50) …
To 10 first class shot glasses from Singapore Airlines for 40 SGD (~ 30 USD) …
To a premium blanket from Singapore Airlines for 50 SGD (~ 38 USD) …
To a first-class equipment set from Singapore Airlines Lalique for 89 SGD (~ 67 USD) …
To a top Singapore Airlines New Years menu, including pitcher, caviar, décor sets, dishes and more, for SGD 888 (~ USD 670) …
Bottom line
Singapore Airlines KrisShop has long been selling some cool items for Singapore Airlines fans, from playing cards to model airplanes. However, the national airline’s online shopping mall is now selling all sorts of other fun things you would otherwise find on board, from combs to blankets to entire meal sets.
The biggest limitation is that KrisShop only ships to addresses in Singapore, which is certainly limiting (and likely a boon for those of us who don’t have self-control on this).
For those in Singapore, do you order something from this selection? And for those out of Singapore, what would you order if you could?
