American Express and Hilton have four co-branded credit cards, and the welcome bonuses for three of these cards have recently seen major improvements. These are by far the best bonuses I have ever seen on these cards as you can earn bonus points as well as a bank statement balance. Not only that, these cards are also worth keeping on long term.
I wanted to recap the three increased offers we see on Hilton American Express cards, as I plan to have family members pick up some of these cards soon:
Hilton Honors Amex Card: 100,000 points + USD 100 statement credit
The American Express Hilton Honors Card has no annual fee (prices & fees) and offers a welcome bonus that includes points and a credit on the bank statement:
- Earn 100,000 Hilton Honors Reward Points after spending $ 1,000 in three months
- Earn $ 100 in credit within three months of your first purchase
For comparison: 80,000 Hilton Honors points were previously offered on the card after completing the minimum spend without bank statement credit. So you get 20,000 extra points plus a $ 100 credit.
The Hilton Honors Amex Card includes:
- 7x points for spending at Hilton Hotels
- Hilton Honors Silver Status for as long as you have the card
- Hilton Honors Gold status when you spend $ 20,000 on the card in a calendar year

You are entitled to all Hilton card bonuses
American Express regards each of the above Hilton cards as a different product, so you are eligible once for each welcome bonus. They are subject to the standard rules for applying for American Express cards, but personally I find Amex cards to be some of the easiest to approve (assuming you have excellent funds).
These are really, really good deals. I would therefore strongly recommend that you consider which of these offers you qualify for.
Bottom line
Co-branded American Express Hilton cards offer incredible welcome bonuses that are the best I can remember. Not only will you get more points than before, but you will also receive significant credit.
How cool it is to get credit towards the annual fee American Express Hilton Honors Cardand how great it is to get credits higher than the first year annual fee for both Hilton honors American Express Surpass® map and Hilton honors American Express business card (see here for a comparison of the two cards).
If you don’t have any of these cards I would highly recommend applying.
